The Evans Area Chamber of Commerce will be moving to a new office on April 1, 2017. Building owners John and Marilyn Beattie (BT Associates) are happy to have the Chamber as tenants and are making improvements to both the interior and exterior to prepare for the Chamber’s move.

The British Motorcar Show is scheduled the same weekend as the Merchants’ Spring Sidewalk Sale in the Historic Lewes Commercial District around Second Street.

Their three-day sale begins Friday and ends Sunday from 10 a.m. There are other events sponsored by Lewes Chamber members taking place that weekend including the Lewes in Bloom Spring Plant Sale; the Blessing of the Fleet at Fisherman’s Wharf; the Historic Lewes Farmers Market in George H. Smith Park; the DE Center for the Inland Bays Native Plant Sale at the James Farm Ecological Preserve; the Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park annual Wine, Cheese & Beer Tasting; Fish ‘n’ Kids at the Lewes Canalfront Park, sponsored by the park’s Friends group; and “Fantastic Reality” Exhibition at Peninsula Gallery, located under the Beacon Motel. with the Winners’ Circle Parade from the ferry terminal, across the drawbridge and then down Second Street.

Westlake Wine & Spirits will be providing the adult beverages and there will also be soft drinks.
